Gourmet 2 Go is a gourmet food, wine and hamper business based entirely around Tasmanian produce. The business was established 4 years ago by two friends, Trudi Beveridge and Paula Febey who in a moment of madness decided it was a good idea to start a small business . . . and it was.
Trudi has worked in the retail food sector for many years and has successfully built up a comprehensive range of Tasmanian products. The mother of three children, Trudi juggles managing the business, the books, making hampers and family life.
Paula comes from a marketing, media and design background and has always dabbled in the hospitality industry on and off. Employed full time elsewhere Paula works behind the scenes on the marketing, wine selection, is known for spending too much money and usually makes the salads.
Gourmet hampers is where it all began with beautiful custom made hampers packed full of delicious Tasmanian produce. Hampers can be tailored to suit the individual or corporate clients with delivery available to any destination.
The shop front is based in Devonport and includes a café where locals can grab a good coffee, a healthy snack or meal or maybe something evil from the cake cabinet. Catering can also be arranged from a selection of finger foods or gourmet platters for that special occasion.
The Tasmanian wine list is extensive be it by the glass or perhaps a bottle or two to take home. Unique Tasmanian giftware can also be found as well as a range of kitchen essentials and cookbooks.
Most products are now available on line so more people can consume quality Tasmania products.
